A new logo for Verulon: from a map of the Netherlands to a lock and a network
Verulon has a new logo. Read what has changed, what the symbols mean and why the logo is no longer tied to a single country.
Verulon has a new logo. The wordmark V in teal and the navy blue stay, but the shield has new contents: where the map of the Netherlands used to be, there is now a padlock around a cube with a network of connected points.
What has changed?
The old logo showed the shield with the map of the Netherlands inside, built from circuit lines. That said exactly where we came from: a Dutch company that keeps data safely in the Netherlands.
The new logo keeps the shield but replaces the map with two new elements:
- The padlock. The shackle of a padlock on top of the cube stands for security and control: who decides who can access your data.
- The network cube. A cube with interconnected points stands for data, infrastructure and the connections between them.
The tagline Sovereign Data Solutions stays under the wordmark. That is exactly what we do: solutions that let organisations stay in charge of their own data.
Why a new logo?
The main reason is simple: Verulon is no longer just a Dutch company. With the founding of Verulon ApS in Denmark, we now work from two countries. A logo showing only the Netherlands no longer fitted.
The new logo no longer ties digital sovereignty to a single territory, but to what we do for customers: securing, controlling and connecting data. The design is also calmer and works better at small sizes, such as a favicon or app icon, where the detailed map became too busy.
What stays the same?
What matters to Verulon does not change. We still offer custom software, sovereign hosting and private AI, with data processed under European law and without foreign parent companies. Only the face has been updated.
Where will you see the new logo?
The logo appears on the website and in the site icons (favicon and app icons). Quotes, documents and other materials will follow.
